Four-time Congress MP JP Agarwal files nomination from Chandni Chowk, appeals Delhi to vote for Congress

    Four-time Congress MP and candidate from Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency, Shri Jai Prakash Agarwal on Tuesday (April 23) filed his nomination papers for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. He reached the Alipur DC Office, Shradhanand Road, along with hundreds of Congress supporters and the electorates of his constituency to file his nomination.
    Congress supporters were seen hailing JP Agarwal by raising Congress Party and JP Agarwal Zindabad slogans. He was heavily garlanded by his enthusiastic supporters on the way supporting his candidature. Hundreds of followers joined his cavalcade under the scorching sun till the DC office.
    Extremely jubilant JP Agarwal after filing the nomination reciprocated his gratitude to the large numbers of Congress workers and the electorates for blessing him. Agarwal conveyed his gratefulness to Congress president Rahul Gandhi for having reposed faith in him for the ninth time in succession by fielding him from Chandni Chowk parliamentary constituency.
    He assured the workers and the voters of his fullest cooperation, support and added that Chandni Chowk is his family where his late father Ram Charan Agarwal started his socio-political career and service to the country. He had been with the people of Chandni Chowk in their thick and thin.
    Mr Agarwal criticised the opposition BJP, AAP candidates for literally doing nothing during the last five years for the people of Chandni Chowk as well as Delhi except dividing and splitting the society in the name of religion, caste and spreading communalism.
    Mr Agarwal appealed to the voters to vote for Congress and its secular and pro-people credentials and policies as it’s primarily the Congress which not only gave India freedom from colonial rule but has also led the nation towards socio-economic, industrial, educational n scientific progress compounding with improving a lot of the poor, marginalized classes and the SC, STs of the country, especially the women who constitute 50% of the total population. He asked the people to be aware of the anti-people, communal and opportunist designs of BJP and AAP and vote for the Congress party for national integrity and progress of Delhi and the country.
    It may be recalled that JP Agarwal had been the president of DPCC for six years and represented Chandni Chowk and North East Delhi constituency. He hails from a freedom fighter’s family with his late father Ram Charan Agrawal being the eminent freedom fighter and Deputy Mayor Delhi.
    Prominent amongst those who accompanied Agarwal during filing of the nomination papers were  Shri Haroon Yusuf (Former Delhi Minister), Shri Prahlad Singh Sawhney (Former MLA), Rajesh Jain (Former MLA), President’s of city Congress Committee- Mohd Usman and Hari Kishan Jindal, Mukesh Goyal (Leader of Congress party MCD), MCD Councillors Mrs Sulochana, Mrs Sultana Abida , Seema Tahira, Dr RB Singh (Ex Alderman), Haji Jamal (President, Meena Bazar) along with thousands of Congress Seva Dal, Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, and NSUI workers etc.
